SO LOW
05:51
|
|||
I'm wearing a scarf fashioned out of a snake,
I can taste poison in this birthday cake
Playing the martyr whilst acting the fool
But who was the one that dumped in the pool
Forcing a smile, while suppressing a frown,
Climbing a hill and then rolling back down,
Learning to swim, when you've already drowned
The water is murky, the water is brown.
I stole the show on a festival stage,
Then I stole the takings
Got laid
Got paid
Kept sticking my fingers in the lions cage,
'Til I became victim, of roar, and rage
Stick your knife and fork in me,
Stick your fork and knife, in me, in me
The band played on with frustrated guitars
Searching for me in hostels and bars,
But I am sat here; just nursing my scars
All alone
So low, solo, so low, solo

REPTILE BRAIN
04:08
|
|||
Joining in a game that you don’t understand,
Portion control of the pie
Look for clues, but they’re not written in the sand
Smoke and mirrors in the sky
Laughing with the other chickens in the coop
Who will lay the golden egg?
Soon you’re swimming in a steamy chicken soup
Edwin Brock pulling your leg
We don’t have to change, but you can’t stay the same
Lick the rock to taste the reptile brain
We don’t have to change but you can’t stay the same
Lick the rock to taste the reptile brain
We don’t have to change, but you can’t stay the same
Lick the rock to taste the reptile brain
We don’t have to change but you can’t stay the same
Lick the rock to taste the reptile brain

THE BUILDER
06:01
|
|||
Carved into the walls of stone
A blueprint for your ideal home
For company or on your own
A Self created comfort zone
But toiling on this pleasure dome
You work your fingers slowly to the bone
To play the vision in your head,
You knead the dough to make the bread
Dreamt of gold, but just found lead
The tears you cried, blood you shed
Remembering what the scholar said
Think of things you could have done instead.
Wood chip away at these four walls,
Deconstruction
Revealing what had gone before.
With vice like grip and sharpened tools
Deconstruction
The palace crumbles in the war.
Ghosts that haunted here have found
Another place in another town,
The empire crashing down.

SPRING TIDES
04:25
|
|||
A barking dog in an enclosed space
Tripping over an untied lace
Why do you feel like you are
Losing your place in the human race
Eat your pudding with a rusty spoon
Blow your ears off with a dusty tune
Lose the plot until you’re
On all fours barking at the moon
Catch the bus, but miss the boat
Every sentence gets your goat
Freeze to death because
The wind rips holes in your charity coat
A hooligan in the latest gear
Potato head and cauliflower ear
Spewing verbals until
All the fan boys start to cheer
Driver shortage, lack of fuel
Dinner ladies serve up gruel
Remember when they used to tell us
That Britannia's cool.

BISCUIT MAN
03:23
|
|||
He's a biscuit man,
He eats them whenever he can
And every night he dreams,
Of bourbons and custard creams
Digestives, Jaffa cakes
Rich Teas, Ginger nuts
Hobnobs, Fig rolls
Don’t care about crumbs,
That get, stuck to his gums,
The sugary fix he craves
Want stop the crunch
From breakfast to lunch
There is no end to the cookies
He can munch
What a guy
He's twice my size
And he don’t care
How much you stare at him
Takes it all
Upon his chinny chin
Biscuit man
Strawberry tan
Biscuit man
What do you say?
Don’t take the biscuit away
He blew a fuse,
In his beige suede shoes
And struck a match,
With a lady who bakes
All manner of cakes,
She won his heart
With a raspberry tart
What a sight to see
Sweetheart harmony
And they’re own destiny
Is written in books
While Mrs Beeton cooks
A wedding spread
For the day that they wed
What a pair
Chocolate eclair
They don’t care how much you stare at em
They’ll take it all upon their double chin
Biscuit pair
Chocolate eclair
Biscuit pair

DANCE MACABRE
06:50
|
|||
Come, take my hand of bone.
Join the circle, don’t stand alone.
Your time has come, you are cadaver
View the circle of mirrors, the dance macabre.
Circle spin,
My rictus grin,
Faster turn,
For the death you've earned.
Come, gaze into my eyes,
Dusk light fades under bruising skies.
Your time has gone, just one more turn.
The light has blown, and now we burn.
Circle spin,
My rictus grin,
Faster now,
Take your last bow.
And we’ll float away this night,
'Cause you are dead already.
I reap the moments true and sweet
So, just don’t worry!
Come join the macabre dance,
For, this is your last chance,
Draw now of your last breath
Let’s partake in the dance of death.
Come, take the path you choose.
The way you were, is what you lose.
Your time well spent? Well we all die in hope.
Move apart, untie the rope.
Circle spin,
My rictus grin,
You move away,
Your death today!
So look! Which way to go?
Left or right? Only you know.
It's too late now, for your time has passed.
As I am Death, your friend at last.
Circle spin,
My rictus grin,
Move away,
You're death today!
And we’ll float away this night,
'Cause you are dead already.
I reap the moments true and sweet
So, just don’t worry!
Come join the macabre dance,
For, this is your last chance,
Draw now of your last breath
Let’s partake in the dance of death.
